This is a spectacular handmade vintage Persian  Tabriz. Hand-knotted by master weavers in the famed Sheikh Safi design, this rug is made from high quality wool, with superior craftsmanship and only natural dyes. The traditional medallion design is exquisitely woven in intricate details by hand, following the pattern of the inside of the famous Sheikh Safi Mosque's cupola, shaped like beautiful leaves surrounding a flower in perfect symmetry. The colors are rich and elegant without being bright. letting the design take center stage.  Blueberry is the color of the background, a gorgeous setting for the ivory medallion with a pink coral center and delicate accents in pale powder blue and lime green. These are the colors that make up the petals of the medallion, adding hunter green, mocha, lemonade pink and countless others, all of which continue throughout the rug's blueberry field in swirling floral sprays and bouquets of flowers on the vine.   The medallion colors and design are echoed in the four corners, creating perfect symmetry and harmony.  The blueberry border has a regal complementary design resembling a necklace of elegant jewels in the same beautiful colors.  The rug has a low, even pile throughout.
