This is a beautiful vintage handmade Persian Sarough Mahal accent rug.  Hand-knotted in the 1980s, the rug is in mint condition with a thick, soft pile and fine quality wool.  This rug is great for high traffic areas and will last generations. The repeating floral and vine motifs in vivid colors create an allover design in shell pink, violet blue, sapphire, azure blue, sky blue, orange and copper on a watermelon pink background.  The border is a series of thin ribbons of azure & sapphire blue with small floral and leaf motifs. All colors are made from only vegetable & other natural dyes.  This is a versatile size rug that can be used in a foyer or entrance, a bedside, a child's room or anywhere that needs a plush and floral rug underfoot.  Size: 3'6"x5'7"
