This handmade vintage Persian Hamedan runner is both floral and tribal and has incredibly rich colors made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. It was hand-knotted in the 1980s and is in mint condition.  The rug's intricate floral sprays and bouquets revolve around a beautiful central floral medallion with unique and exotic birds, all of which is framed by borders of colorful and charming ribbons of repeating flowers and polka dots.  The backdrop is strawberry red and the accents and flowers are hand-knotted in a fantastic array of colors - royal blue, burnt orange, sea green, pale peach, silver, shell pink, steel blue, golden yellow, charcoal and countless other colors.  The central medallion in golden yellow with lavender and sky blue accents is surrounded by four exotic and colorful lavender birds, a unique and charming addition to this rug.
