This is a fine quality handmade vintage tribal and geometric Persian Finest Baluch accent rug or small runner. This rug was hand-knotted by tribal weavers using fine quality wool and expert craftsmanship.  This rug has a soft sturdy pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  The intricate repeating allover tribal design is known as a "gul" a hallmark of rugs from this region that dates back centuries, and often represents a naturalistic element, such as a lake or a plant. The pattern is strawberry red on black with accents of rust, coral and ivory and surprising tiny pops of bright turquoise and teal that dot the center of some of the guls.  The border is highly intricate with several rows of orante tribal repeating motifs in red and black.
