It is hand-knotted of silk and fine wool with a high knot count (KPSI, knots per square inch) and superb craftsmanship, which makes for precise, crisp details. The rug has an exquisitely detailed perfectly symmetrical floral and vine pattern based on the Persian Nain design of sprays and bouquets, petals, leaves and vines revolving around a central medallion. The silk accents glisten in the light.  The cerulean blue color of the rug is a stunning shade that is perfectly complimented by the medallion and  surrounding designs, hand-knotted in heather gray, silver, mocha, steel blue, mauve, midnight blue, taupe, hunter green,plum and countless other elegant neutral shades, all punctuated by bright white and all made from only natural dyes. The ivory corners reflect the medallion, brightening and lightening the rug and leading to the silver border with a garland of flowers and vines in the same accent colors.
