Agra is most famous for the Taj Mahal, but it is also a city known throughout the world for its rugs of fine quality and craftsmanship. This Agra rug has an allover traditional floral and vine pattern in pale gold, copper brown, ivory, royal blue, sky blue and other accent colors against a maroon and Egyptian blue background. Colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes and the rug is made from very fine wool that creates an elegant sheen. The rug also has a high knot count or KPSI (knots per square inch).
