This is a stunning fine quality vintage Persian Hamedan runner, handmade with an allover Persian Koliai tribal & geometric design with intricate details that fill the rug with pattern and intrigue.  The rug is made with fine quality wool that is sturdy and great for high traffic areas and will continue to last generations. The violet blue background is a beautiful setting for the highly detailed accents and geometric motifs that are hand-knotted in orange coral, rose, lemonade pink, sky blue, indigo blue, mocha, charcoal, sapphire blue, ballet slipper pink,  champagne, strawberry red, pale gray, dusty rose and countless other colors, all made from only natural dyes.  Three diamond medallions in shades of strawberry, rustic red and ivory run down the center of the runner and serve as the focal points for the allover design.  They are adorned and surrounded with phenomenal tribal motifs, filling the runner with details that you can get lost in.  The complementary border is another striking feature, framing the rug with an ivory row of intricate repeating geometric motifs that resemble hieroglyphics, itself framed by thin rose rows with small blue flowers on the vine. The ditress in this runner is minor - a small area with color running and a corner with minor imperfections in the weave. See last photo for details.
