This is an elegant vintage round rug handmade in India.  This rug has a thick pile that is soft underfoot. It can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  The traditional allover floral and vine design is based on Persian Mashad rug patterns with large flowers in elegant variations of color.  The neutral ivory backdrop hosts floral motifs in soft shades of green and other neutral tones: sage green, moss green, burgundy, heather gray, sand, stone and other subtle and elegant colors.  The border is an equally abundant garland of flowers on the vine in the same beautiful colors on a wide ribbon of cranberry red.  All of the colors are made from only natural dyes.  This rug is wonderful for entrances and foyers, round tables in dining rooms and offices and any areas where an elegant circle will do! The rug is distressed in several areas, primarily the fringe which is uneven and stained in some areas.  The pile also has a few minor spots.  See last three photos for close-ups. Size: 6' Round
