This vintage handmade Afghan Kazakh has a great deal of charm with beautiful vibrant colors made from only natural dyes.  The rug is woven in a transitional design -- taking the inspiration from traditional tribal rug patterns and updating them with modern colors and cleaner lines.  This is a fine quality rug made from high quality wool and dyes.  The bright cherry red backdrop is the perfect canvas for the intricate and decorative designs in yellow, sapphire blue, sky blue, teal green and pale orange. Flowers, vases and unique geometric designs fill the rug with color and pattern.  Note that the medallion design is asymmetrical, a unique and fun characteristic of the rug.  The border is another highly decorative and playful element of the rug, two concentric layers of heart-shaped motifs that resemble flowers or even hearts, followed by a wave motif in all of the rug's colors for the final row. The fringe is a beautiful heather gray color.
