This brand new fine quality small runner was handmade in India. It has a full soft pile that is great for high traffic and will last generations. This rug is made with fine craftsmanship and high quality wool.   The geometric design is based on tribal Kazakh patterns that date back centuries.  Here a series of five  octagonal medallions run down the center of the runner, hand-knotted in alternating steel blue and indigo blue, adorned with small geometric flower and snowflake-like motifs in white, silver, plum and strawberry red.  The rug's backdrop is strawberry red with rows of small tribal motifs on either side of the medallions, echoing them in style and colors. The border is a white frame that lightens and brightens the rug, with a geometric ribbon of  snowflakes in silver and shades of blue.  The binding is a playful and decorative element of the rug, with red and white alternating rectangles against the final red row of the border, giving the rug a charming candy cane vibe.
