This brand new fine quality contemporary tribal runner was handmade in India. It has a full soft and thick pile that is great for high traffic and will last generations. This rug is made with fine craftsmanship and high quality wool.   The geometric design is based on Kazakh patterns that date back centuries.  Here a series of four star-shaped medallions run down the center of the runner, hand-knotted in white with denim blue, lime green, moss green, pale yellow, sky blue, cherry red and mauve accents.  The backdrop is a lush cherry red with small playful tribal motifs in the open field that echo the medallions in style and colors. The border is a white frame with a geometric ribbon of flowers on the vine in green, red and pale yellow, framed by a yellow row with repeating small tribal motifs.  The binding is a playful and decorative element of the rug, with bright red and blue alternating rectangles against the final cherry row of the border.
