This brand new fine quality geometric runner was handmade in India. It has a full soft and thick pile that is great for high traffic and will last generations. This rug is made with fine craftsmanship and high quality wool.   The design is based on tribal Kazakh patterns that date back centuries.  Here, a series of seven alternating medallions run down the center of the runner, hand-knotted in sapphire blue, ivory, heather gray, khaki green, rustic lilac purple and taupe, all made from only natural dyes.  The backdrop is a rustic red with small playful tribal motifs in the open field that echo the medallions in style and colors. The border is an ivory frame with a geometric flower repeat in red, blue and gray, framed by thin rows of blue and gray tiny checkerboard patterns.  The binding is a playful and decorative element of the rug, with sapphire blue and rustic red alternating rectangles against the final rustic red row of the border.  This versatile size and cheerful color palette makes the rug perfect for entries and kitchens, mud rooms and kids' rooms, hallways, bedsides, etc.
