This brand new fine quality area rug was handmade in India. It has a full soft pile that is great for high traffic and will last generations. This rug is made with fine craftsmanship and high quality wool.   The geometric design is based on tribal Kazakh patterns that date back centuries.  Here a series of three octagonal medallions run down the center of the rug, hand-knotted in beautiful shades of steel blue and indigo blue, adorned with small geometric flower and arrow motifs in white, silver, plum and pomegranate.  The rug's backdrop is cherry red with rows of small tribal motifs on either side of the medallions, echoing them in style and colors. The border is a white frame that lightens and brightens the rug, with a geometric ribbon of  snowflakes in silver and shades of blue.  The binding is a playful and decorative element of the rug, with red and white alternating rectangles against the final red row of the border. All colors are made from only natural dyes.  This versatile size makes the rug perfect for kitchens, mud rooms and kids' rooms, entryways, bedrooms, etc.
