The precision and beauty of the medallion and floral details throughout the rug and its borders are breathtaking.  The midnight blue open field is a timeless and elegant background for the stunning floral medallion and details that frame the open field.  The flower medallion is itself made up of tiny flowers, leaves and petals in crimson red, ivory, midnight blue, sapphire, Carolina blue, mauve, pomegranate, taupe, and mint green.  These same colors create the frame that leads to the border, mirroring the medallion across the ocean of midnight blue open field.  Flourishes and flowers in perfect symmetry create the corners, and the crimson border is framed by sky blue rows of delicate flowers on the vine.  A larger garland of flowers fills the crimson border.  The silk accents glisten in the light.  This is a piece of artwork that can be used on the floor or hung as a tapestry or draped over a couch or chair.
