This is a stunning rug in a phenomenal color way, a very fine quality brand new handmade Heriz design rug with spectacular tribal details and brilliant colors. It was hand-knotted by expert weavers in India based on a classic antique Persian Heriz design, a pattern that dates back over a century.  The full and supple pile can withstand high traffic, and it is soft and cushy underfoot, made from top quality wool. This rug was made to last generations. The rug also has a high knot count (or KPSI, knots per square inch), as evidenced in the crisp and precise details throughout.  The prominent central medallion is the geometric floral heart of the rug, bursting from within the pink coral backdrop that covers the rug's open field.  The central flower is hand-knotted in sapphire, marigold, lemon yellow, fruit punch, lemonade pink, ivory, grass green, silver, sky blue and countless other colors, all made from natural dyes.  These are the delicious and bright colors that continue throughout the rug, forming delicate and elegant tribal flower, vine and leaf designs that radiate from the medallion in perfect symmetry and incredible detail.  The bright sky blue and yellow corners really pop, lightening and brightening the rug and drawing your eye to the beautiful details within.   An elegant larger tribal floral and vine motif fills the steel blue/gray border. This is in turn edged by thin royal blue rows with tiny flowers in a garland before the last pink coral edge.  This rug is a knockout, and a true statement piece.
