This is a stunning piece in a phenomenal color way, a very fine quality brand new handmade rug with intricate tribal details and brilliant colors. It was hand-knotted by expert weavers in India based on a classic antique Persian Heriz design with a geometric medallion, a pattern that dates back over a century.  The full and supple, thick pile can withstand high traffic, and it is soft and cushy underfoot, made from top quality wool. This rug was made to last generations.  The prominent central medallion is the geometric floral heart of the rug, bursting from within the pale gold diamond backdrop.  The central flower is hand-knotted in turquoise, sangria, yellow and pale lime green on a dramatic black background, colors made from only natural dyes.  These are the delicious colors that continue throughout the rug, forming delicate and elegant tribal flower, vine and leaf designs that radiate from the medallion in perfect symmetry.  The sangria layer that surrounds the medallion is the main color of the rug's open field, itself framed by a gorgeous layer of turquoise before the sangria border. An elegant larger tribal floral and vine motif in turquoise and pale gold fills the border. This is in turn edged by thin blue rows with tiny flowers in a garland before the last pink sangria edge.  This rug is a knockout, and a true statement piece.   We have two identical versions of this rug in the shop, so it can also be sold as a pair.  Size: 8'x10'2"
