This is a very fine quality prayer rug/accent rug that was hand-knotted by expert Afghan Baluch tribal weavers using natural dyes and fine quality wool that makes for a notably thick and soft pile.  This rug was designed as a prayer rug with its mosque-like structure defining the rug's central design, but it can also be used as an accent rug or a tapestry/wall-hanging. The intricate architectural and tribal motifs that adorn the rug add beautiful details that will continue to emerge and delight as you get closer.  The vibrant emerald green is a dramatic and rare backdrop for the red mosque and all of the highly detailed decorative motifs in midnight blue, pale peach, copper and burgundy.  Note the abundant charming flowers, the multiple turrets with layers of ornamentation in all of the accent colors, the cypress trees and the striped columns.  The border is another beautiful decorative element of the rug, a copper frame with a repeating geometric motif in the rug's colors.  This rug has a thick and soft pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.
