This knockout antique handmade tribal Persian Karajeh is a rare jewel in beautiful condition. The classic geometric Karajeh pattern of tribal footed medallions is hand-knotted in exquisite detail and colors made from vegetable dyes that offer the unique patina that only comes from antique handmade rugs. Woven in the 1920s, this rug is 100 years old and in remarkable condition.  It was made with fine craftsmanship and a sturdy pile that is perfectly intact and can still withstand high traffic. It will continue to last generations. The colors are somehow vivid and vibrant while still being muted and subtle, a symphony in coral and blue. The finely detailed snowflake-like central motifs are indigo, ocean blue, and sapphire, adorned with ivory, coral, rose, dusty rose, pale pink, taupe, plum and azure blue. The medallions are like flowers with geometric petals and leaves filling the rug's ocean blue open field.  The border undulates between bright coral and rust with a complementary geometric garland of flowers on the vine in a repeating pattern that adds more interest and beauty to this stunning rug. The pile is low throughout, typical of a rug of this vintage, and slightly lower towards one end of the rug, as visible in the photos.  Size: 4'5"x5'6"
