This is a rare find and a collector's piece. A stunning top quality and mint condition antique Persian Heriz with vibrant, rich colors made from vegetable dyes. It is extremely fine quality, with a remarkably full pile for its age, made from fine quality wool and with superb craftsmanship. It can withstand high traffic and will continue to last generations. What brings this rug to life is the incredible array of intricate details and the remarkable vibrant colors that really pop. Each layer is resplendent with vivid colors that dance in tribal patterns. The medallion at the heart of the rug is a striking sapphire blue with pink coral, teal green, crimson and strawberry red, ivory, and pale yellow. This is surrounded by a layer of rich royal blue, adding sky blue, rose and azure blue to the accents. The next layer is strawberry red in a large diamond-like shape, full of intricate tribal leaf, flower and other geometric motifs in all of the above accent colors, adding even more shades to the color palette. The corners are brilliant sapphire blue and teal blue with similarly abundant tribal details. The royal blue border brings the rug together perfectly, echoing all of the accent colors in a classic Heriz border, a garland of geometric lotus flowers on the vine.
